Worldwide Spies Anniversary Update — 25 April 2025

On 25 April 2025, Worldwide Spies turned four years old as a playable Roblox place and Team Chrome HQ marked it with a competitive layer: VS wins and a global leaderboard. The studio’s public line was simple: win the most races, place on the Top 100 players, and see who becomes the Worldwide Champion. That board is in the live alpha. This page is how it changes a session, what it does not count, and how it sits next to Leap Forward placements.

The anniversary is a patch on an experience that opened 25 April 2021, not a launch event. You do not wait for Worldwide Spies to “go live.” You join a 20-player server and race.

What VS wins are

VS wins track versus race victories. You finish ahead of the field in the modes the patch treats as versus, and the counter ticks. The point is not a participation ribbon. The point is a number other agents can compare.

Practical rules of thumb that match how Roblox racing boards usually work and how Team Chrome described this one:

• You need to finish. DNF, disconnect, and “I was winning until the alpha ate me” do not help.
• You need a real opponent context. Empty-server ghost laps are not what “VS” implies. Fill a lobby or race people who queued with you.
• Placements from Leap Forward Update tell you the order of one race. VS wins tell you how many of those races you actually took.

Scripts will not farm this cleanly. Fly and speed desync the car; the server still has to believe you won. The Roblox Scripts Hub is the wrong tool for a leaderboard grind.

What the global leaderboard is

Team Chrome framed a Top 100 of players by wins. The fantasy is a Worldwide Champion. The reality is a public list that will be noisy during alpha:

• Early names can look unbeatable because they played the week the counter turned on.
• Resets, if they ever happen, will be announced on Discord and Twitter, not guessed from a missing row.
• Display bugs happen. Screenshot your own total before you argue in chat.

The board is global, not per-map. Crushing Radiator Springs and ignoring Black Forest still feeds the same number unless a later patch splits tables. No split has been documented as of September 2026.

How an anniversary session should run

1. Claim Team Chrome Rewards so you are not unlocking Rookie McQueen mid-lobby.
2. Warm up on a map you already know. Leap Forward paint jobs do not add speed; pick the livery you can read at night.
3. Queue versus races, not only free roam. Cruising Tokyo is fine. It is not how you climb Top 100.
4. Stay through the placement UI. Leaving early is how wins fail to write.
5. Check the leaderboard, then stop for the night. Alpha CCU is modest; you will see the same rivals if you live in the place.

New agents should still complete training. New Agent Clearance (Union Jack Finn and Racer Holley) is a badge for the first training level, not a VS trophy. Getting Started covers that loop so you do not confuse a tutorial medal with a champion board.

What the anniversary did not add

• Promo codes. Four-year parties in other Roblox games drop strings. This one did not publish a confirmed code. Do not paste console cheats. See the Promo Codes Hub and How to Redeem Codes.
• Paris or a Black Forest remaster. Those are Mega Update previews on Mega Update Roadmap. Anniversary is a scoring patch.
• A Disney license. The game remains a Team Chrome fan experience with no GenAI assets and no Pixar affiliation.

How this patch changed player goals

Before VS wins, a session could be “drive until the alpha bugs out.” After 25 April 2025, a session has a countable objective. That is good for people who like rivalries. It is also how lobbies get sweaty on RS Speedway and Motor Speedway of the South.

Play the social contract:

• Do not block the racing line in a versus lobby if you only wanted to cruise. Pick free roam.
• Do not inject a hub “to win faster.” You steal twenty other people’s race.
• Do not harass the Top 100 names in Discord. The board is a toy in an alpha, not a salaried esports seat.

Team Chrome can still retune what counts as a win. When they do, the note will sit on the Patch Updates Hub and on Twitter @Cars2WWS. Until a retune posts, assume: finish versus races, watch the Top 100, and treat the champion title as flavor on a fan project.

Anniversary gave Worldwide Spies a memory. Leap Forward gave it a garage. Mega Update work is rebuilding the roads. You already have the first two. Use them.
