Worldwide Spies Patch Notes

Worldwide Spies is still labeled alpha, and it has been playable since 25 April 2021. Team Chrome HQ ships in public: you can already race 20-player servers while the studio rebuilds maps in the background. This hub is the patch map, not a waitlist. Use it to see what already landed, what has been previewed, and which child page to open next.

The experience is free, uses no generative-AI assets, and is not affiliated with Disney or Pixar. Owner Gcqio posts through the Team Chrome HQ group, Twitter @Cars2WWS, and the official Discord. When those channels disagree with a YouTube thumbnail, trust the studio.

Alpha is ongoing, not a closed test

Expect bugs, odd collision, and unfinished corners. That is the warning on the Roblox description. It is not a reason to say the game is unreleased. 27 million-plus visits and a live CCU count exist because people already drive Radiator Springs, Tokyo, Porto Corsa, London, Black Forest, Thomasville, RS Speedway, Smasherville, and the tutorial. New Agent training is in the build. VS wins already score.

Leap Forward — 31 May 2025

The Leap Forward pass is the last big live-gameplay drop this wiki treats as in the build:

• Paint jobs on racers
• Redesigned GUIs
• Race placements
• Fan-favorite characters added to the selectable roster

Details, including how paints differ from the later July 2026 limited liveries, live on Leap Forward Update. If your HUD looks nothing like a 2024 screenshot, this is why.

Anniversary — 25 April 2025

The fourth-anniversary patch (the place opened 25 April 2021) added VS wins and a global leaderboard. Win races, climb a Top 100, and chase the Worldwide Champion flavor text Team Chrome used on Twitter. That system is live. How it scores, what it does not score, and how it changes a session are on Anniversary Update.

Black Forest remaster (two routes)

Team Chrome has previewed a complete remaster of Black Forest, Germany: the toughest endurance layout in the set, now with two different routes and races. International World Grand Prix racers, including movie regulars and cars that only appeared elsewhere in the franchise, are part of that showcase. The video on this page is a look at the German map in Worldwide Spies, not a trailer for an unreleased game.

Treat remaster notes as in development / previewed until they are called out as deployed in a patch post. The original Black Forest is already in the alpha. The remaster is extra work on a map you can already pick.

RS Speedway revitalized

Gcqio posted a quality pass on RS Speedway: casual races with friends or rival throwdowns “like in the old days,” plus updated character appearances. That revitalization is part of the broader reboot-scale work, not a replacement for the live RS Speedway slot already in the map list.

4K textures previewed

Team Chrome showed a texture rebuild: all base map textures reconstructed at four times the old resolution, with a note that performance stayed in a good place during tests. That pass is previewed. It is also why the Roblox Scripts Hub talks about FPS tools instead of speed hacks if your laptop already struggles.

Paris, France (in development)

Paris has been previewed with a day-and-night choice: still mornings or stormy nights. Team Chrome describes races that change how the map plays. The layout is in development. It is not in this hub’s “already shipped” list. Do not expect a noclip to open it.

Mega Update, teased through the group

The Roblox description tells you to watch Team Chrome group services for Mega Update previews. That teaser bundle is unpacked on Mega Update Roadmap: Black Forest routes, WGP racers, 4K textures, Paris, character model updates, RS Speedway, plus later showcases such as a Radiator Springs remake and a full Porto Corsa remaster. Previews are not patch notes. If it is only on Twitter, it is a preview.
